The Inspiration Behind Adviser1
The story of Adviser1 began with a personal experience that highlighted the need for a service like ours. Tim Wiedner, the owner and founder of Adviser1, was motivated to start the company after witnessing his parents fall victim to a fraudulent contractor. The contractor, who went door-to-door, promised to build an addition to their home. Unfortunately, the contractor took $17,000 and never completed the job, leaving Tim’s parents in a difficult situation.
This first-hand experience inspired Tim to establish Adviser1 in 2002, with the goal of protecting other property owners from similar scams. Tim was determined to create a company that would thoroughly vet contractors and ensure they are reputable and reliable before connecting them with property owners.
