Fraud and misrepresentation: The Illinois Attorney General filed a lawsuit against American Dream Home Improvement, the company's former name, for allegedly defrauding and misleading customers. A similar case in 2022 involved the Illinois Attorney General suing two home repair businesses over alleged scams. Some customers report being pressured into filing false or exaggerated insurance claims for storm damage.
Poor workmanship and damage: Numerous consumer complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) detail improper installations that resulted in leaks, mold, and other interior damage. Other issues include damaged property during repairs and cracked rafters or ceilings.
Aggressive collection practices: Multiple customers have reported receiving threatening messages about liens being placed on their homes over disputed charges, even after they have paid what they believe is the correct amount.
Unauthorized activity: The company has been accused of soliciting homeowners in violation of no-solicitation policies, including instances of entering properties without permission.
