Tarping

Our roof tarp pricing is based on a service fee specific to your type of roof, the square feet of tarp needed, and safety hazards related to the roof surface (steep or high roof)

We provide an upfront quote after we view the property, and then we take payment
ONLY after services are rendered. In addition to providing the temporary repair itself, we also provide electronic images of the damages for you to provide to your insurance carrier.

Roof tarps are not permanent solutions, nor are they suitable for a period of more than 14 days, as emphasized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In addition to causing more damage to your already leaking roof, tarps begin to deteriorate over time from the sun and rain, causing them to literally shred apart and litter yours and your neighbor’s yard with debris.

Blue tarps are designed as a short-term solution. Made from polyethylene, they provide a waterproof barrier that can protect a roof from rain and debris. However, they are not meant to withstand prolonged exposure to the elements. Over time, the tarp can degrade due to UV rays, wind, and temperature fluctuations, leading to tears and leaks.

When a storm hits and causes damage to a home, one of the immediate responses from homeowners is to use blue tarps to cover their roofs. These tarps are often seen as a quick fix to prevent further water damage until more permanent repairs can be made. However, while they may offer temporary relief, what many homeowners don't consider is the additional damage that these tarps can cause to the roof's exterior.

Blue tarps can trap moisture against the roof’s surface, especially if not properly secured. This moisture can seep into roofing materials like shingles and underlayment, promoting mold growth and rot.

Water pooling on top of the tarp adds extra weight to the roof structure, which can exacerbate existing damage or create new issues over time.

High winds can cause tarps to flap against the roof, loosening shingles or tiles and increasing the risk of them being blown away.

In conclusion, seeking a professional inspection from Adviser1 is a prudent step in managing roof damage. Our expertise can help you protect your home efficiently and safely.
